What are hormones?
 

I never thought anything about hormones. I heard them referred to when speaking about teenage boys doing dumb things, "It's just their hormones."  Or when a women was being hysterical. "She's so hormonal." But I didn't know what hormones actually were or what they did. - Marcella Hill

 

Hormones are chemicals that manage different functions in your body. Hormones send signals to your blood, organs, skin, muscles and other tissues to tell them what to do and when to do it. Hormones are essential for life and your health.

How Fast does BHRT work?

Most will notice a change after 3 months. It can take 6 months for full benefits to be noticeable.
Everyone will have their own journey. Give yourself time to figure out what feels optimal for you.

 

Marcella's personal timeline: 

• Day 2 - I slept through the whole night

That continued nightly

• Day 8 - I noticed a generally happy energy throughout the entire day

• Month 3 - I notice that my body aches had significantly diminished and I started running again!

I was feeling alive! But the sex drive hadn't quite kicked in.

• Month 4 - Second treatment. Sex Drive kicks into overdrive! My body heats up when he walks in the room.

What are the side effects of BHRT?

I didn't think about this. I figured if I'm willing to put Diet Coke and Movie Theater Popcorn into my body with no hope that it will make me feel alive, then put this hope of a better existence IN ME RIGHT NOW. - Marcella Hill
